Dr. Jess Mandel
Jess Mandel, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist who treats patients with a variety of respiratory conditions. His interests include pulmonary vascular disease, critical care medicine, and pulmonary vascular malformations such hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (a disorder that affects blood vessels).
He has treated many patients with COVID-19 and led efforts to assist health care professionals in Tijuana during the pandemic.

Dr. John Upham
Dr. John Upham is a clinical scientist and physician with longstanding research interests in the immunological basis of asthma and chronic lung disease, the role of dendritic cells in allergy and virus infections of the lung, and the development of novel approaches to severe asthma treatment. John is highly influential in his field, with > 195 publications, > 5,400 citations and an H index of 46. Since 2009, he has 112 publications (1st/senior author on 45%) with a Field-Weighted Citation Impact of 2.03.
Dr. Jason Weatherland
Dr. Jason Weatherald is a respirologist at the Peter Lougheed Centre. His research examines pathophysiology of pulmonary vascular disease, specifically gas exchange and pulmonary arterial hemodynamics during exercise. As a recent Canadian Vascular Network/Bayer fellowship recipient, his current research involves wave intensity analysis to describe right ventricular-pulmonary arterial interaction in patients with pulmonary hypertension and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
